About Us

Who Are We

Burleigh Heads Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Church in Southern Queensland. The Anglican Church Southern Queensland is a diverse community of more than 500,000 Anglicans including 500 clergy in more than 130 parishes. The Mission of the Church is the Mission of Christ – to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.

On the Gold Coast we have a number of different faith communities (Churches) covering the length of the coast from Coomera in the north right down to Palm Beach in the south. The Anglican Church also has 4 Church Schools and other ministry units including a nursing home, crisis centre, child care centre and Anglicare (not-for-profit organisation providing care and support services).

Serving the Community with God’s love in our hearts

Burleigh Heads Anglican Church has been serving the community of Burleigh Heads and surrounding suburbs since 1926 in a variety of ways. We continue to share loving service with the community in various ways; from providing food relief to the homeless and those doing it tough, with non-perishable foods as well as fresh vegetables from our 'Goodwill Garden'. We also offer low cost, good quality clothes through our Thrift shop (Burleigh Anglican Thrift Shop) and drop-in centre. We welcome and affirm people of the LGBTIQA+ community. We promote and advocate for healthy stewardship of God's good creation. We also provide worship experiences that promote thankfulness, thoughtful contemporary teaching and opportunities to come together and celebrate.
