Welcome to Burleigh Heads Anglican Church
WHO WE ARE:
Burleigh Heads Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Church in Southern Queensland. The Anglican Church Southern Queensland is a diverse community of more than 500,000 Anglicans including 500 clergy in more than 130 parishes. The Mission of the Church is the Mission of Christ – to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.
On the Gold Coast we have a number of different faith communities (Churches) covering the length of the coast from Coomera in the north right down to Palm Beach in the south. The Anglican Church also has 4 Church Schools and other ministry units including a nursing home, crisis centre, child care centre and Anglicare (not-for-profit organisation providing care and support services).
WHAT WE DO:
Committed clergy, employees and volunteers provide ministry, loving service, outreach and care to Anglicans and the wider community of Burleigh Heads and surrounding suburbs.
The Mission of the Church is the Mission of Christ – to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.
Your gift will help us to provide essential services and programs to the most vulnerable in our society. If you believe passionately in our cause, and the positive and life-changing work we are doing in the community, you can make a donation to us.
Serving the Community with God’s love in our hearts:
Burleigh Heads Anglican Church has been serving the community of Burleigh Heads and surrounding suburbs since 1926 in a variety of ways. We continue to share loving service with the community in various ways; from providing food relief to the homeless and those doing it tough, right through to providing nurturing and fun opportunities to bubs and toddlers and their Mums, Dads or Grandparents at ‘Mainly Music’. We also provide worship experiences that promote thankfulness, thoughtful contemporary teaching and opportunities to come together and celebrate.
Reverend Eron Perry is our Parish Priest. He and his wife Jane moved to Burleigh Heads from northern NSW after spending eleven and a half years ministering in the Kingscliff Parish. Reverend Eron has been in ordained ministry within the Anglican Church for 20 years.
Rev. Eron has a passion to see the local church continue to connect with the wider community, to share the good news of Jesus with everyone, nurture faithful followers of Jesus and to offer loving support where needed. He also wants the church to provide opportunities for people who want to grow their spirituality and connect with God.
Prior to committing to ordained ministry Rev. Eron served in the Australian Army and obtained qualifications in environmental science.
In his down time Rev. Eron likes to go SCUBA diving, tend his vege garden or enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Burleigh Heads Anglican Church (BHAC) has a leadership team made up of Wardens and Parish Councillors who support and minister along side Rev. Eron as they commit to growing and sharing the mission of God on the Southern Gold Coast.
BHAC is also blessed to have Helen Reeds as the parish Office Administrator. Helen looks after much of the administration of the parish. She also provides a friendly face for anyone dropping into the office.
“What does the Lord require of you? But to seek justice, pursue mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
